TEACHING TOUCHING SAFETY: The job of ensuring children’s safety is a challenging undertaking. The prevention of child sexual abuse requires we give our children the tools they need to overcome the advances of someone who intends to do them harm. The Teaching Touching Safety program (TTS) is designed to assist parents and teachers in this important task. Junior High Faith Formation students will receive lessons 3 & 4 of this training on:

Parent Formation:  As part of our movement toward Whole Community Catechesis, St. Margaret Mary RE has implemented a parent component for all of our youth faith formation programs. What does this mean? Now, instead of just your children receiving faith formation, you , too, will meet with other parents and share faith, grow in knowledge of church traditions and values and, most importantly, foster community. The parent faith formation requirement is simple- Attendance at any 5 events (See Parent Formation Page for More Information). Two events will be offered during the students classes:

ARRIVAL / DISMISSAL:  Children should arrive no more than 10 minutes before class begins and remain no longer than 15 minutes after class ends.  No child should enter the classroom unless the teacher is present. 


DROP OFF: On Monday afternoons we share the parking lot with the school and after-school day care, so children will be dropped off by drive-through process only.  Follow the cones. 


Pick Up: Parents must park and personally pick-up their children from the child's’ designated classroom. NO EXCEPTIONS! If your child is permitted to walk to and from class, please submit a permission letter to our staff.
